ROBERT LUNABURG
Bob began his career by studying electronics back
before the transistor was invented. He went to work for IBM, and spent most of
his work life in their service training and development department. He Reached
their top professional position of Senior Education Specialist where he
developed entry and advanced training systems, authored courses, and trained authors,
instructors, and other senior staff.
In the late 1960’s and early 1970’s Bob became
involved at Northwestern University’s clinic of speech and hearing disorders
where he invented equipment to aid young deaf children develop speech. He
carried his work with the disabled into IBM where in 1984 he coauthored the
service division’s Disabled Employee Training Guidelines and Procedures.
After retiring in 1993, Bob led a team of programmers
in developing a DOS based Skills Management system for industry. The system
took three years to develop, and was a success in meeting its design
parameters, but because of the advent of the Windows operating system, it was
deemed obsolete and found no market.
After his programming venture, Bob decided to return
to his first love teaching. He volunteered as an instructor in
Bob is also a Cultural Streams International advisor,
and is currently volunteering as their webmaster.
In his spare time, Bob enjoys the hobby of writing
fact based fiction stories for the many young people he knows within his
neighborhood and family.
